My Role: Business Analyst for Salesforce.com implementation for HOG (Harley Owners Group) replacement project, US release June 2016, and subsequent releases for Asia Pacific, EMEA, Japan in 2017.
When a person owns a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, they are eligible to participate in the Harley Owners Group (HOG). HOG memberships are managed in the Salesforce system. It is based on data objects contact, membership subscriptions, vehicles, accounts, HOG events. It has inbound and outbound integrations with fulfillment vendors, magazine vendors, payment providers and other systems.
My Customers: As a business analyst, my work supported call center agents who support the customers, and indirectly the HOG members. As a TekSystem consultant, my customer is the client Harley-Davidson.
My Responsibilities and Achievements:
Requirements and functional specs: Authored functional specifications and mapping documents for integrations with vendors. Worked closely with ETL developers. The integration supported business processes to HOG magazines, deliver membership materials, requested and collected EFT payments for auto renew customers, and update address corrections from USPS.
Data Transfer: Coordinated Managed File Transfer requests for integrations, ensuring that integrations met all corporate security requirements for encryption and transfer.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Created and executed test cases, facilitated user acceptance testing, completed regression testing
Partnering and Cooperation: Collaborated with offshore Implementation partners, Corporate Information Security Department, Business Owners, Vendors and other stakeholders to ensure success of the HOG replacement project.
After successfully rolling out the new program in four waves--the US, AU/NZ, EMEA, and Japan-- there are no more regions without the HOG system. The project was successfully completed and I am looking for the next adventure.
